We, the undersigned, endorse The True Cost Accounting Action Agenda: A Roadmap to Healthier, More Equitable, and Sustainable Agrifood Systems.Â
Achieving more resilient, equitable, and healthy agrifood systems demands the mainstreaming of True Cost Accounting (TCA): a powerful tool to reveal and compare environmental, human, social and economic trade-offs. We envision a future where TCA fosters transparent, systemic analyses of agrifood systems to guide decisions that uphold human rights and the wellbeing of people, animals, and the planet.Â
The TCA Action Agenda, created for and by a diverse group of stakeholders, is a necessary first step toward this vision. It describes the concrete actions we must take, together, to dramatically scale this approach by 2030.
